Visitors Centre Orecchiella Park
Less than 20 km from Mont'Alfonso Fortress, among the rocks of the Apuan Alps and the Tuscan Apennine beech forests, lies a vast protected area called Orecchiella Park. The landscape is a large plateau dominated by the chalk massif of the Pania di Corfino, an area of ??over 5000 hectares that extends from 600 metres to 2045 metres above sea level, where nature reigns supreme. The Visitor Centre of the State Forestry Corps is an essential point of reference for the Park (in which there is also the Botanical Garden). In the Centre is on a technical office, a guest house, a library and a research laboratory, the Conference-Projections Hall and the Natural History Museum.

Nature Reserve Orrido di Botri
Orrido di Botri is a rugged and imposing chalk gorge, with steep walls deeply carved by cool waters of Rio Pelago River; the canyon is part of an Apennine landscape characterized by rocky environments and extensive beech forests, dominated by the peaks of Rondinaio Mount and Tre Potenze that reach 2,000 metres in height.
The origin of this spectacular canyon is due to tectonic causes, with falls and fractures able to canalize waters. In the area of Orrido di Botri still live rare animals such as the golden eagle and the wolf.
You can take advantage booking your guide service for groups of at least 8 people.
